HOWTO: Forwarding email messages with the headers in Outlook 2000 In this procedure, you will be asked to press certain keys in combination with the Control or CTRL key. This key is used like a special Shift key: Ø Press and hold down the Control key (it’s named either Control or CTRL) Ø Press the combination key. For example, if we say press CTRL-C, press the “C”key while you are holding down the Control key. Then release both keys.1) Open the email message.
2) Click on the View menu and click on Options.
3) You should see a window which looks like the following:
4) Select all the text in the section next to Internet headers as shown below: (Note: You select all the text by clicking with the cursor pointing anywhere in the box called Internet headers and then pressing CTRL-A. Refer to the explanation at the start if you are not sure.)
5) Press CTRL-C (refer to the explanation at the start if you are not sure) 6) Click on the Close button. 7) You should be back at the email message:
8) Click on the Forward button to forward the message. 9) You should now see something like this:
10) Click in the body of the message 11) Press CTRL-V (refer to the explanation at the start if you are not sure) 12) The message headers should now appear in the email. You should now see something like the following:
13) Now enter the email address you wish to send the email to in the box next To as in the example below:
14) Once complete, click on the Send button. 15) When ready, click on the Send/Receive button OR click on the Tools menu and click on Send/Receive |
