I get an error;with message;"unable to logon to server using Secure Password Authentication Account Server Response: ERR Command unknown AUTH, Port.110 SSL Number, Server Errror Ox800CCC90 ERROR Number Ox800CCC18." in Outlook/Outlook Express.

Reason: Your Outlook/Outlook Express is setup to log on with SSL: (secure sockets layer).

This level of security is only needed is certain specific situations.  Most of us don't require that.  If you get that error message you need to disable SSL. How?

In Outlook/Outlook Express: Click on Tools-Accounts -Then double click on the account "MyAccount" or whatever you called this account. On the  "Servers" Tab disable any "check box" that says "Secure Password Authentication Account"
