FTGate Office Instructions

Section A - Setting up SMTP Authentication system for sending e-mails

(Note:These instructions have been revised as of 28th August for improved reliability)

1. Launch the FTGate Web Admin Module.

2. Sign in with what your administrator id and password

3. Click on the Domains [Tab]:

4. Click on the Remote Domain - in most cases this will be called internet under the General [Sub Tab]

5. Set the ISP SMTP hosts to mail.omf.net then click Apply:

(You may wish to click the box next to Log outgoing SMTP traffic so that you can see SMTP connections in the log)



6. Click on the Security [Sub Tab] and click in the box next to Use SMTP AUTH if required. Enter the Name as lastnamefirstname.omf.net (Use your mail account) and password as the usual one for that account. Now click Apply:


Section B - Modifying existing Smart Pop Accounts that use mail.omf.net

1. Click on the Smart Pop [Tab]


2. Click on the account you wish to change:

3. Change the login name by adding .omf.net to the end of the Login name entry i.e. lastnamefirstname.omf.net. Click Apply.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for every smartpop account you have that is accessed through mail.omf.net
